DitchVoicemail 📞 Call demo
For electricians in Dallas–Fort Worth

Ditch voicemail.
Book the job.

Your virtual receptionist answers 24/7 in English or Spanish. It puts safety first on dangerous calls, separates real emergencies from utility outages, books panel upgrades and EV charger installs, and texts back anyone who hangs up.

First month free Month-to-month · cancel anytime · one-time setup fee applies

Our demo line answers as “Lone Star Plumbing,” a sample plumbing company, but the receptionist works the same for electricians. Yours answers in your company's name with your services and rules. Call and try it.

Example: 9:25 PM, Tuesday

AI receptionistThanks for calling [Your Company] Electric, this is the virtual assistant. Is this an emergency, or would you like to schedule service?
CallerThere's a burning smell coming from my breaker panel.
AI receptionistPlease get everyone away from the panel. If you see smoke or sparks, or the smell gets stronger, get everyone outside and call 911 now. Otherwise, I'll get an electrician on this right away. What's the address?
You get, instantlySafety call · Burning smell at panel · Told caller 911 if smoke · Sent to on-call

The calls you miss are often the big ones.

Panel upgrades, EV chargers, and urgent repairs don't wait. If a caller can't reach you, they keep dialing until somebody picks up.

⚡

Outages & tripping breakers

Some are yours, some are the utility's. Your receptionist asks the right questions and routes the call.

🔥

Danger calls

Sparks, smoke, burning smells. Callers get clear safety instructions first, then you get alerted.

🚗

EV chargers & panels

High-value install calls get answered and booked, even while you're on a ladder.

What does a missed call cost you?

We're not going to throw industry numbers at you. Use your own. Plenty of callers who hit voicemail don't leave a message. They just call the next company. Plug in your best guesses:

Safety first

For sparks, smoke, or burning smells it tells callers to get clear and call 911 or the utility, then alerts you.

📅

Books the job

Collects what you need for panel upgrades, EV chargers, and repairs, then books or sends you a request.

💬

Texts back missed calls

If a call drops or gets missed, the caller gets a text so they don't move on to the next company.

Questions electricians ask

Don't see yours? Email ditchvoicemail@gmail.com. A real person reads it.

What does it do if a caller reports sparks, smoke, or a burning smell?

It doesn't troubleshoot. It tells the caller to get away from the problem and call 911 if there's smoke, fire, or anyone hurt, and to call the electric utility for a downed line or a utility outage. Then it alerts you with the details. You approve the exact wording before go-live.

Can it tell a utility outage from a problem you should fix?

It can ask simple questions you approve, like whether the neighbors have power or whether it's just one room, and point callers to the utility when it's clearly a utility outage. When in doubt, it follows your rules and gets the details to you.

Can it book panel upgrades and EV charger installs?

Yes. It can collect the basics you need for an estimate (home age, panel brand if known, the vehicle or charger, where it'll be mounted) and book the visit or send you a request.

Does it quote prices?

Only what you tell it to. Many electricians have it say there's a set service-call fee and the electrician will price the job on site.

Does it speak Spanish?

Yes. It answers in English and switches to Spanish when the caller does.

Does the demo work if it says “plumbing”?

Yes. The demo is set up as a sample plumbing company so you can hear the voice and how it handles callers. Your receptionist gets your electrical services, questions, and safety rules.

How does the free first month work?

Your first month of service is free. You pay the one-time setup fee when you sign up, which covers building, testing, and launching your receptionist. The monthly fee starts in month two. Cancel before then and you won't be charged a monthly fee.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract. It's month-to-month and you can cancel anytime.

How long does setup take?

Usually 2–5 business days after you finish the 10-minute questionnaire. We do the building and testing. Here's the whole process.

Do I keep my business number?

Yes. You keep your number and forward calls to your receptionist: all calls, only the ones you don't pick up, or only after hours. Stop forwarding and you're back to how things were. If you'd rather, we can set up a new local number instead.

What if it gets something wrong?

It will sometimes, just like a new office hire. You set the emergency rules, you get a summary of every call, and we review calls every week to fix mistakes. If you're not happy, turn off forwarding and cancel. No contract.

Do I have to learn new software?

No. We set it up and maintain it. You get call summaries and a monthly report, and you email us if you want something changed.

Will my customers know it's an AI?

Yes. Like Maria on our demo line (“this is Maria, the virtual assistant”), your receptionist tells callers up front that they're speaking with a virtual assistant.

A note about AI

DitchVoicemail uses artificial intelligence to answer calls and send messages. “Maria” on our demo line is an AI assistant. She introduces herself as “Maria, the virtual assistant,” and “Lone Star Plumbing” is a sample company. For your business, the receptionist introduces itself the same way by default and, if calls are recorded, gives a recording notice. AI can make mistakes, so you set the emergency rules and review bookings. Callers can always ask to reach a person, and the receptionist will pass the message along or transfer the call based on your rules.
