Ditch voicemail.
Book the job.
Every call answered, day or night, even when you're under a sink. Your virtual receptionist speaks English and Spanish, sorts emergencies from routine calls, books the job, and texts back anyone who hangs up.
First month free Month-to-month · cancel anytime · one-time setup fee applies
Call now and talk to “Maria,” the virtual assistant for a sample company, Lone Star Plumbing. Try a burst pipe, a water heater question, or Spanish. No salesperson will pick up.
Example: 11:42 PM, Saturday
- Month-to-month, cancel anytime
- Live in 2–5 business days
- Keep your business number
- English & Español
- Set up for DFW trades
You can't answer the phone from under a sink.
When you're on a job, driving, or asleep, calls go to voicemail. Someone with a burst pipe doesn't wait for a callback. They call the next plumber on the list.
On a job
Hands full, phone ringing in the truck. Every ring you can't get to could be your next water heater install.
After hours
Leaks don't keep business hours. Nights, weekends, and holidays are when callers need someone most.
Freeze nights
When a hard freeze hits North Texas, everyone calls at once. Your receptionist can pick up several calls at the same time.
What does a missed call cost you?
We're not going to throw industry numbers at you. Use your own. Plenty of callers who hit voicemail don't leave a message. They just call the next company. Plug in your best guesses:
This works right in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Answers 24/7
In your company's name, day or night, even when several calls come in at once.
Sorts out emergencies
Tells a flooding kitchen from a dripping faucet, then follows your rules: transfer to the on-call phone or alert you right away.
Books the job
Gets name, address, problem, and urgency, then books into your calendar or sends you a booking request.
Texts back missed calls
If a call drops or gets missed, the caller gets a text so they don't move on to someone else.
English & Spanish
Switches to Spanish when the caller does. También hablamos español.
Tells you what happened
A short summary after every call: who called, what they need, and what got booked.
Your part takes about 10 minutes. We do the rest.
No app to download. No dashboard to learn. No one from your crew has to become the “tech person.”

Taxes may apply.
Questions plumbers ask
Don't see yours? Email ditchvoicemail@gmail.com. A real person reads it.
Does it sound robotic?
Call (469) 390-0338 and decide for yourself. It uses a natural-sounding voice, lets callers interrupt, and talks in plain everyday language. It isn't perfect, which is why we review calls every week and keep tuning it.
What happens with an emergency call?
The receptionist asks a few quick questions to tell a true emergency (active leak, flooding, no water, sewage backup) from routine work. Then it follows the rules you set: transfer to your on-call phone, alert you right away, or book the first open slot. It can give simple safety steps you approve, like finding the water shut-off. For anything dangerous, such as a gas smell, it tells the caller to get to safety and call 911 or the gas company.
Does it speak Spanish?
Yes. It answers in English and switches to Spanish when the caller speaks Spanish. Try it on the demo line.
Does it quote prices?
Only if you want it to. You tell us what it can say (for example, your service-call fee) and what it should never quote. Plenty of shops have it say “the tech will give you a price on site.”
How does the free first month work?
Your first month of service is free. You pay the one-time setup fee when you sign up, which covers building, testing, and launching your receptionist. The monthly fee starts in month two. Cancel before then and you won't be charged a monthly fee.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. It's month-to-month and you can cancel anytime.
How long does setup take?
Usually 2–5 business days after you finish the 10-minute questionnaire. We do the building and testing. Here's the whole process.
Do I keep my business number?
Yes. You keep your number and forward calls to your receptionist: all calls, only the ones you don't pick up, or only after hours. Stop forwarding and you're back to how things were. If you'd rather, we can set up a new local number instead.
What if it gets something wrong?
It will sometimes, just like a new office hire. You set the emergency rules, you get a summary of every call, and we review calls every week to fix mistakes. If you're not happy, turn off forwarding and cancel. No contract.
Do I have to learn new software?
No. We set it up and maintain it. You get call summaries and a monthly report, and you email us if you want something changed.
Will my customers know it's an AI?
Yes. Like Maria on our demo line (“this is Maria, the virtual assistant”), your receptionist tells callers up front that they're speaking with a virtual assistant.
A note about AI
DitchVoicemail uses artificial intelligence to answer calls and send messages. “Maria” on our demo line is an AI assistant. She introduces herself as “Maria, the virtual assistant,” and “Lone Star Plumbing” is a sample company. For your business, the receptionist introduces itself the same way by default and, if calls are recorded, gives a recording notice. AI can make mistakes, so you set the emergency rules and review bookings. Callers can always ask to reach a person, and the receptionist will pass the message along or transfer the call based on your rules.
Stop losing jobs to voicemail.
Hear it in 60 seconds, and your first month is free. Call the demo line, then grab a 15-minute Zoom demo or send us an email.
